String Sprouts & the Omaha Symphony Concert 2016
The 3rd annual String Sprouts & Omaha Symphony concert was held June 5th at Baxter Arena. Attendees enjoyed a wonderful performance by some 900 little sprouts (How cute are they?!) and accompanied by our own wonderful Omaha Symphony. Johnston Portrait Studio photographers were there to capture the event.
About the String Sprouts Program
String Sprouts was founded in 2013 by the Omaha Conservatory of Music. This revolutionary music education program, funded by generous individuals, foundations, and grants, aims to change the lives of children in underserved areas by providing them with high-quality violin, viola and cello instruction at no cost to caregivers.
String Sprouts is a weekly music education program serving children from when they are as young as three years old until their school district begins orchestra classes, usually in the 4th grade. Contact OCM for more details including schools/locations that are curently served.
